(Oct 2023-present)

Lab Assistant. Developed R and AI competency under Zach Greenberg. Perform machine learning on Breast Cancer cell lines, and wrote a lab report of the findings through the program. Received Artificial Intelligence Scholar Award (2024) for the topic of developing EQI to effectively analyze breast cancer biomarkers and treat BCR.

Dr. Harris Lab
(May 2023-Oct 2023)

Lab Assistant. Introduction of basic lab assays. Increased efficiency on performing assays from previous semesters. Assisted and performed self-made procedures. Attended meetings and lab lectures to deepen understanding of RNase P. Helped in lab tri-weekly consistently for two semesters. Presented at Spring Research Symposium 2023.

Unit 42 UF Shands

Volunteer weekly at UF Shands Hospital at the Pediatric Immunocompromised Unit 42. Interact and communicate with needs of nurses on unit. Foster fun and friendly environment for patients through games. Develop close-knit relationship with patients to help them in times of need and provide a sense of normalcy in their lives.

Coached as “buddies” for players with special needs how to play soccer. Won Spring 2023 Intramurals with the Hotdogs, Regionals (2024) Developed interpersonal relationships with the players. Went to regionals with the Alachua County UF Special Olympics team at ESPN's World Wide of Sports.

Host weekly meetings to help students during Discussion Period. Attend triweekly office hours by Dr. Sumner to aid in teaching and learning. Led ~50 students in weekly meetings. Developed teaching strategies for students to easily understand concepts.

UF Men's Club Soccer Vice President (400 hours)

Practice and play to represent UF in NIRSA league. Hosted volunteer projects with Project Canis and Keep Alachua Country Beautiful. Gone to nationals and regionals, two Fall seasons consecutively. Continue to learn how to effectively communicate with others. Hosted skill evaluations. Attend monthly meetings for executive board with RecSports.

Footprints Vice President Committee Chair (200 hours)

Head of Organizational Advancement, Diversity & Inclusion, and Crafts and Event Committees. Hosted and ran application cycle for upcoming members. Foster ethnic membership awareness through workshops. Led Hispanic Heritage Month Trivia Night and Pediatric Illness Forum.

Spent summer semester shadowing an Interventional Radiologist physician at UF Shands. Encountered patient interaction in the clinic and hospital. Observed port replacements, catheter insertions, and cutting-edge technology used for future used in the hospital.
